Jackson Wheeler is a Chicago-based guitarist, composer, and producer originally from Minneapolis. Their musical background is rooted in jazz, blues, and electronic music, and their work draws from global traditions—particularly those of the African diaspora. They explore the intersection of electronic and acoustic approaches, blending improvisation, composition, and sound design into a forward-thinking practice.
Jackson has performed at staple venues of the Chicago music scene such as Cafe Mustache, Easy Does It, Clara, Dorothy, Fulton Street Collective, Andy’s, The Whistler, and The Jazz Showcase, as well as Jazz Central Studios, Black Dog Cafe, Volstead’s, Metronome Brewery, Berlin, and the Dakota in Minneapolis.
